S. M. Akash is a seasoned broadcast journalist, television presenter, and communications specialist with over three decades of experience in journalism, media strategy, and public communication. He is currently the Head of News at Deepto TV and the anchor of the socio-political talk show Desh Bhabna. Akash began his career at UNB and has held key editorial positions at ETV, ATN Bangla, Rtv, NTV, and UNDP’s A2I Programme. He is also an adjunct faculty at BUP and a media trainer affiliated with institutions like Pathshala and MRDI. A passionate advocate for pro-people and pro-planet storytelling, Akash combines newsroom leadership with a commitment to positive and impactful journalism.
